A man walked into the barbershop and asked whether he could pay extra for a haircut without small talk.
‘Certainly,’ said the barber. ‘Would you like the usual length?’
‘Yes, please.’
The barber worked in complete silence. No questions about the weather, holidays, or weekend plans. When he finished, the customer paid and added a generous tip.
‘That was the most relaxing haircut I’ve ever had,’ he said.
‘Glad to hear it,’ the barber replied. ‘If my wife asks, tell her you paid for the haircut. She’s been asking me to try this at home for free.’
