The Office Walking Champion

The office announced a month-long walking challenge. By Friday, Sam had more steps than anyone in the company, even the colleagues who ran at lunchtime.

His boss asked for his secret.

‘I haven’t changed my routine,’ Sam said. ‘I print the shipping labels in the morning and invoices in the afternoon.’

‘How does that make you a walking champion?’

Sam pointed down the corridor. The only working printer was on the other side of the building, and it jammed every third page.

The boss offered him a fitness voucher.

‘Could I have a printer that works instead?’ Sam asked. ‘I’d like to come last next month.’
