The Nursing Home Fart Rule 😄

One evening, a family brings their frail, elderly mother to a nursing home, hoping she’ll be comfortable and well cared for.

The next morning, the nurses bathe her, feed her a delicious breakfast, and place her in a comfortable chair by a window overlooking a beautiful flower garden.

Everything seems fine—until suddenly, she begins slowly leaning to one side.

Two nurses rush over, gently catch her, and sit her upright again.

A few minutes later, she starts tipping to the other side.

The nurses quickly hurry over and straighten her up once more.

This keeps happening all morning. Every time she leans, they rush to correct her.

Later that afternoon, her family comes to visit.

“So, Mom,” they ask, “how do you like it here? Are they treating you well?”

She smiles and says, “Oh, it’s wonderful. The food is good, the nurses are lovely…”

She pauses.

“But there’s one thing I don’t like.”

“What’s that?” they ask.

She sighs and says, “They won’t let you fart.”
