One hot afternoon in the African savannah, a tall giraffe wandered over to a quiet waterhole to get a drink. As he bent down carefully, he noticed a small frog sitting on a rock near the water.
The giraffe looked down at the tiny creature and tilted his head.
“Hey,” the giraffe said curiously, “I just noticed something… you’ve got no neck!”
The frog blinked and looked up at the towering giraffe.
“Well,” the frog replied calmly, “why would I need a neck like yours?”
The giraffe lifted his long head proudly and smiled.
“Oh, you have no idea what you’re missing,” he said. “With a neck like mine, life is truly something special.”
The frog raised an eyebrow.
“How so?” he asked.
The giraffe explained with great enthusiasm.
“Take eating, for example. When I swallow something delicious, it takes such a long time for the food to travel all the way down my neck. I can enjoy every second of it. It’s like the meal lasts longer!”
The frog listened patiently.
“And when I drink fresh water,” the giraffe continued proudly, “I can actually feel it slowly moving from my mouth all the way down to my stomach. It’s a long, refreshing journey. It adds a little extra quality to life.”
The frog sat quietly for a moment, thinking about what the giraffe had said.
Then he slowly nodded and replied,
“Well… that sounds nice.”
He paused.
Then added,
“You’ve obviously never thrown up before, have you?” 🐸🦒
