Margaret’s new robot vacuum drew a map of the living room.
The map showed the sofa, table and a mysterious new wall.
Margaret moved every chair but the wall stayed.
Then she followed the robot to see what it had discovered….
The machine had spent three mornings learning the house. It cleaned under the table, avoided the lamp and announced whenever a sock defeated it.
Margaret opened the map on her phone. A thick line crossed the middle of the room.
She measured the sofa and checked the bookcase. Nothing matched it.
Her husband, Peter, said the machine was probably confused.
The next afternoon Margaret watched the robot begin its route. It reached the middle of the carpet, stopped and turned around.
Peter was lying there watching television with a cushion under his head.
Margaret pointed to the map.
Peter asked whether the mystery was solved.
Margaret nodded.
Yes. The wall snores.
