A Shark Swimming Under A Bridge.

A shark was cruising lazily under a big bridge when he spotted a squid slowly drifting through the water.

“Hey there, Squid!” the shark called out cheerfully. “How ya going?”

The squid turned toward him looking pale, droopy, and about as energetic as a wet sock.

“Not too good, Mr. Shark,” the squid said in a weak voice.

“Oh yeah? You look crook,” the shark replied.

“Yeah, mate… I’m really sick,” the squid sighed.

The shark circled him once. “Where ya headed like that?”

“Well,” the squid explained, “I was trying to get to North Head. There’s this special seaweed that grows there. Everyone says it can fix anything… but honestly, I’m too weak to swim that far.”

The shark grinned widely. “Well that’s no problem at all! Hop on my back and I’ll take you there.”

The squid’s eyes lit up. “Really? That would save my life!”

So the squid climbed onto the shark’s back, holding on tightly as the shark powered through the water. They swam past reefs, schools of fish, and a few confused dolphins who wondered why a squid looked so comfortable riding a shark like a taxi.

After a while, they reached North Head. The shark slowed down and dove deep toward the ocean floor, stopping outside a large dark underwater cave.

Suddenly, a massive grouper fish poked his head out of the cave.

“Hey Shark!” the grouper said. “Long time no see. What brings you all the way out here?”

The shark smiled proudly and nudged his passenger forward.

“Oh nothing special,” he said casually.

“I just stopped by to deliver that sick squid I owe you.” 😄
