A cinema usher found a pair of glasses on a seat after the afternoon show. She held them at the desk while three customers called to ask if anyone had found them.
“What do they look like?” she asked the first.
“Dark frames.”
The second said, “Mine have a scratch on the right lens.”
The third said, “I can describe them, but I’d have to put them on first.”
The usher checked the glasses. They had dark frames and a scratch.
The third customer arrived and put them on. “Not mine,” he said. “These make the world clear.”
The usher called the first two back for an eye test of their own.
