Martin installed an anonymous suggestion box in the office. ‘I want honest ideas,’ he told the staff.
The next day he mounted a security camera directly above it. ‘Just making sure nobody puts silly notes in there,’ he explained.
On Friday he opened the box. It was empty.
‘Nobody has a single idea?’ he asked.
Nina glanced at the camera. ‘You did say the suggestions were anonymous.’
‘They are,’ Martin said. ‘The camera only shows me who posted each one.’
‘Then I have a suggestion,’ Nina said.
‘Excellent. Put it in the box.’
‘I’d rather tell you,’ she replied. ‘Take the camera down.’
Martin frowned. ‘But then how will I know who made the suggestion?’
Nina pointed at the empty box. ‘That’s the idea.’
